General information about the club

Meetings

The club  currently meets at 8pm every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at New Milton Rugby Club in New Milton.

We are always delighted to welcome visiting Lions to our meetings - it's good to find out what other clubs are doing. If you are not yet a Lion, you would be welcome to attend some meetings to find out more about us and the work we do. Please use the contact form or if you know any local Lions feel free to ask them.

Committees

The Club runs three main committees for administration purposes - Activities, Welfare and Social.

The Activities Committee organises most of our fund-raising activities. The success of their work determines the funds available for the Welfare Committee to distribute to good causes. All funds raised through public events are put to charitable use.

The Social Committee organises regular functions for members and friends. Although not all fund-raisers, through these functions we raise administrative funds that go towards our running costs.

Membership

The administration costs of our club are not taken from the funds we raise. We therefore pay an annual membership subscription of £70 per head, half paid in January and half in July.

Twinning

Our club is twinned with the Lions Club of St Mere Eglise in France. The Twinning Charter was signed at our Charter Dinner held in early 2007. We look forward to many years of friendship and exchanges with our new friends from France.
