A 1917 Chevrolet "Cabriolet" A Flying Car in 2017 ??
After a gap of more than two decades, New Milton will once again see the return of a Summer Festival Parade through the centre of the Town, culminating in fun and games on the Recreation Ground for the rest of the day.
It is hoped that there will be scores of groups representing all sectors of life, work and play in New Milton as well as Bands, Marching Groups and Animals!
Please feel free to join us simply as a Walking or Motorised Group within the Procession - the use of the theme is not mandatory.
The Parade will consist of Walking Groups, Mobile Floats and Motorised Entries and more than likely some of the entries will be a combination of these !
A great spectacle and unlike the Traditional Christmas Festival Parade - we are hoping for a warm and sunny Summer's Day!
An Event not to be missed and a Fun Activity to be part of.
The Parade will leave the Osborne Road Car Park promptly at 11:00 am
Participants in the Parade should ensure that they arrive at the Osborne Road Car Park no later than 10:30 am
It is anticipated that the Parade will arrive at The New Milton Recreation Ground at approximately 11:45 am
The Assembly Point for the Carnival Parade will be the Osborne Road Car Park, immediately opposite the New Milton Community Association. Access to the Car Park for Motorised Entries and Mobile Floats will only be available to those in Parade with the appropriate Pass, which will be sent to you in advance.
The Post Code for Sat-Navs is :- BH25 6EA
The Parade will be monitored by a large number of Stewards who will direct you all along the route, culminating via Whitefield Road onto the New Milton Recreation Ground, where the Parade will disperse.
For those Groups with Young Children, and those unable to follow the full route, there will be a shorter route option, accessing the Recreation Ground from Old Milton Road.
Please also note that the Car Park will not be available for Parking of Vehicles for obvious reasons and participants will need to use other Car Park or the local On-Street Parking which is widely available.
